In The House
Cortes House is a splendid Regency mansion, built in 1810. It has recently been refurbished to the highest standard. The house sleeps 24, with 8 individually designed double bedrooms, and 2 family suites. Most of the bedrooms have en-suite or private bathrooms. The house also has 4 large reception rooms, a cinema and table tennis room.

For particularly large parties two extra en-suite bedrooms plus their own kitchen and sitting rooms are available at extra cost. Prices start at £400+VAT for the week.

Cortes retains many of its original features including stunning cornices, marble fireplaces and 14 foot ceilings. The sense of elegance and space is from a bygone era, whilst the amenities such as the vast kitchen and bathrooms have the latest in modern facilities.

The house is peacefully located in its own grounds of 5 acres. These include a children’s playground and woodlands which brim with wild flowers in the springtime. It is not unusual to spot deer, badgers and foxes.

The house is conveniently located for transport and leisure activities. It is 45 minutes drive (35 miles) from Aberdeen airport, and a few miles from the beaches of the East coast. Particularly worth visiting is the famous beach where Local Hero was filmed. Nearby you can also find numerous world famous golf courses and castles galore.

Cortes is above all a family house, and one that seems to bring joy to anyone who stays there, whether adults or children. We and our three children absolutely adore the place, as this photo probably suggests
